Jinlongheng Furniture (Nanhai, Foshan) Jointly Holds Comprehensive Fire Drill with Fire Rescue Authorities
On the afternoon of April 1, a comprehensive fire drill was organized by Jinlongheng Furniture Co., Ltd. (Nanhai District, Foshan) in collaboration with the Jiujiang Fire Rescue Station, the full-time fire brigade, and the Shatou Park Management Office.
The drill aimed to evaluate the company’s emergency response capabilities, test routine fire preparedness, enhance fire safety awareness among employees, and help prevent fire-related incidents.
Drill Scenario: Simulated Vehicle Fire on Loading Platform
The drill scenario simulated a vehicle malfunction on the loading platform, causing the vehicle to catch fire. The fire quickly spread, producing large amounts of smoke. Upon detecting the situation through the surveillance system in the security guard room, the onduty security staff immediately raised the alarm.
Once the alarm was activated, Jinlongheng Home Furnishing Co., Ltd. initiated its emergency response plan. The company organized an internal firefighting and self-rescue effort, while simultaneously directing staff to evacuate.
◉ Communications team promptly reported the incident to the command center, providing details such as the location of the fire and its intensity.
◉ Firefighting team donned self-contained breathing apparatus and used dry powder extinguishers to fight the fire. Other team members stood by with nearby fire hydrants in case water was needed.
◉ Evacuation team guided employees to evacuate in an orderly manner. Workers bent low, covered their mouths and noses, and followed the designated safe exit routes to leave the fire scene. After the evacuation, headcounts were taken and reported to the overall commander.
Fire Rescue Arrives Quickly
Meanwhile, firefighters arrived at the simulated fire scene promptly, wearing full firefighting gear and carrying water guns and hoses to control and extinguish the blaze. The entire drill proceeded rapidly, efficiently, and in an orderly fashion, achieving the expected results.
Post-Drill Training on Fire Safety
Following the drill, personnel from the Jiujiang Fire Rescue Station conducted on-site training, covering basic fire safety knowledge and practical firefighting skills. Employees received detailed instruction on fire prevention measures, initial-stage fire suppression, and self-rescue/escape techniques.
Employees actively participated in the training. Under the guidance of firefighters, they practiced using fire extinguishers in a simulated fire scenario.
Safety First: Prevention Is Better Than Rescue
“Safety is of paramount importance, and prevention is better than rescue,” said a company representative. “This fire drill provided a valuable safety lesson for all employees. It helped everyone understand two key abilities: how to extinguish a newly ignited fire, and how to evacuate and save themselves in a fire.”
Jinlongheng remains committed to the production principle of “Safety First,” placing strong emphasis on preventive measures. The company continues to strengthen daily fire safety management, striving to prevent hazards before they ignite.
