Mattress Core & Layers
At JLH, we specialize in luxury mattress components and raw materials. Our layered solutions allow mattress manufacturers to create comfortable, durable, and customizable mattresses for global markets. Every mattress is a combination of multiple layers, each designed for a specific purpose.
Quilted Mattress Layer (Top Layer)
Quilted Mattress Layer is the outer fabric that wraps the entire mattress and often includes light quilting for extra softness and breathability. Common materials include cotton, viscose, or blended textiles, sometimes with added wool or fibres for moisture wicking and temperature regulation—useful in warm nights. OEKO-TEX certified materials ensure no harmful chemicals, ideal for sensitive users.

A good quilted top layer should feel comfortable against the skin, promote airflow, and protect the latex layers from direct wear and moisture.
Comfort Mattress Layer
The comfort mattress layer is the top section that you feel most directly when lying on the mattress. Located between the quilt and support layers, the comfort layer ensures body contouring, pressure relief, and overall sleep comfort. It is usually softer or more pressure-relieving than the deeper layers, designed to cushion shoulders, hips, and joints.

This layer can be made from memory foam, latex, high-resilience foam—tailored for different sleep experiences., depending on the feel the manufacturer wants to achieve. A balanced comfort layer helps combine pressure relief with enough responsiveness to avoid feeling stuck in the bed.
Support Mattress Layer (Core Layer)
The support layer forms the mattress' s structural backbone, providing long-term support and stability. The support core is usually a coil system or firmer foam layer at the bottom of the mattress that provides structural stability and deep support. It is typically firmer than the upper layers and carries most of the sleeper' s weight night after night.

Reinforced edges and lamination enhance structural integrity. Hybrid construction combines springs and foam for balanced support and comfort.
Mattress Design
Choose from a variety of mattress styles including Tight Top, Euro Top, Pillow Top, and Quilted Top. Each design is crafted for comfort, durability, and easy assembly.
Cover Selection
Customize the mattress cover according to your product requirements. Choose fabrics, quilting, and construction for the top, side, and bottom panels. Flexible cover solutions help your mattress stand out in appearance and functionality.
Spring Unit
Select the spring system that ensures optimal support and durability. Our range includes single-zone to multi-zone pocket springs, foam encasements, and reinforced edges. Ideal for OEM mattress production.
Mattress Foam
From pressure-relieving memory foam and resilient high-density PU foam to breathable natural latex — available in a range of densities and thicknesses, certified to meet international quality standards.

Raw Material Selection

The foundation of any luxury mattress layer is premium raw materials.

Fibers and Wadding: Natural cotton, polyester fibers, and blended wadding are carefully selected for softness, resilience, durability and breathability.

Foams: Memory foam, high-resilience foam, and latex are tested for density, hardness, and recovery rate.

Springs & Cores: Pocket springs and continuous springs are manufactured with high-tensile steel and precision tensioning to ensure consistent support.

Quality Assurance at Source: Every raw material is checked for compliance with OEKO-TEX, CertiPUR-US, and ISO standards before entering production.

Layer Formation & Assembly

Once materials are approved, they move into precision assembly:

Quilted Mattress Layer Manufacturing:

Fibers are blended, layered, and stitched into uniform sheets. Fibers and foam are stitched together using single-needle or multi-needle quilting machines to ensure stable loft and prevent shifting.

Comfort Mattress Layer Production:

Foam sheets are cut to exact thickness and density specifications. Multi-zone cutting and lamination allow manufacturers to achieve pressure point relief and ergonomic support.

Support Mattress Layer & Core Assembly:

Springs are assembled, pre-compressed, and aligned with exact spacing for consistent support. Foam encasements or edge supports are added for durability and structural integrity. Hybrid configurations are tested for noise reduction, motion isolation, and ergonomic support.

Quality Control

Every semi-finished layer undergoes strict quality checks to guarantee uniformity and consistency:

Thickness & Density Measurement: Advanced digital calipers and compression machines ensure every layer meets exact specifications.

Edge & Surface Inspection: Automated and manual inspections verify that quilting, lamination, and bonding are flawless.

Resilience Testing: Foam layers undergo tens of thousands of compression cycles to simulate long-term usage.

Airflow & Breathability Checks: Ensures comfort layers provide optimal ventilation for sleeping surfaces.

Packaging & Pre-Shipping Preparation

We understand that how products are handled post-production is as important as how they are made.

Compression & Vacuum Packing: Layers are carefully compressed for shipping without compromising resilience.

Protective Wrapping: Water-resistant and puncture-proof packaging ensures safe transport.

Batch Traceability: Each shipment is labeled with batch numbers, production date, and material details for complete traceability.
